Job summary

Igne is seeking a Geotechnical Engineer / Senior Geotechnical Engineer to join the Ground Investigation Division (GI England) based from Warrington. You will manage large, complex projects and write first-class interpretative reports, contributing to technical logging, site data interpretation, and reports.

Responsibilities include data collection, interpretation, tender support, and overseeing ground investigations with travel as required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor or Masters’ degree in Geotechnical Engineering, Geology or related discipline.
  • Experience in contract management of ground investigation projects.
  • Excellent written and oral communication and reporting skills.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
  • Full driving licence (travel is required).

  • Support tender preparation by providing scope input, cost estimates, and technical write-ups.
  • Monitor specialist equipment usage and report any maintenance or calibration requirements.
  • Oversee and manage ground investigation projects.

You will be responsible for managing large complex ground investigation projects and have the expertise to write first class interpretative reports.
