Job summary

ALF Recruit Limited is assisting a respected Legal firm near Rochdale to hire a Graduate Legal Assistant for its Information Governance team. No law degree is required, and the role includes full training and early Fridays off in a modern office setting.

You will support Data Protection matters, SARs and FOI requests, develop client relationships in education and public sectors, and gain practical experience with live matters while growing into specialist roles.

Qualifications

• Recent graduate or due to graduate this year in any degree.
• Strong analytical skills and a clear ambition to build a career in law.
• Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.
• Confident written and verbal communicator.
• Analytical, methodical and enjoys working with information.
• Law degree is not essential.

Responsibilities

• Reviewing, analysing and redacting documents for SARs and FOI requests.
• Drafting professional correspondence and legal documentation.
• Supporting the wider Data Protection team with live client matters.
• Building strong relationships with clients across the education and public sectors.
• Managing your own workload while working to strict service standards and deadlines.
• Handling confidential and sensitive information with accuracy and professionalism.
