Oaklands College is seeking a Law graduate to turn theory into real-world experience in data protection and governance. You will help implement GDPR, respond to SARs, review notices, assist with DPIAs, and support audits while learning how legislation is applied in a large education setting.

You will collaborate with IT, People and professional services, developing practical legal and commercial skills for a career in data protection, privacy and information governance.

Qualifikationen

• LLB Law degree or equivalent legal qualification.
• Interest in data protection, privacy, information law or compliance.
• Strong analytical and research skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Confidence handling sensitive information and interpreting legislation.

Aufgaben

• Support compliance with UK GDPR and Data Protection Act 2018.
• Coordinate and respond to Subject Access Requests (SARs).
• Assist with Freedom of Information requests and DPIAs.
• Support management and investigation of potential data breaches.
• Review privacy notices, policies and procedures.
• Support data-sharing agreements and information governance.
• Maintain compliance records, logs and documentation.
• Monitor data retention and information management requirements.
• Undertake legal and regulatory research.
• Support internal audits and compliance reviews.
• Provide guidance and awareness to colleagues.
• Collaborate with People, IT and wider professional services.
