Job summary

KPI Education is partnering with an inclusive all-through school in Kenley to recruit a Graduate Learning Support Assistant starting September 2026. The role involves supporting pupils from primary to secondary ages with 1:1 and small-group work, literacy and numeracy support, and aiding teachers in delivering lessons.

Ideal candidates hold a degree (2:1 or above) and show a genuine interest in education, with strong communication and organisational skills.

Qualifications

• Degree with 2:1 or above is desirable.
• Genuine interest in education and supporting pupil development.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Calm, patient and understanding approach.
• Confidence to work with pupils across a range of ages.
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Ability to adapt approach to individual pupil needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide dedicated 1:1 and small-group support to pupils.
• Support children and young people to engage confidently with learning.
• Assist teachers during lessons and help pupils stay focused and motivated.
• Support literacy, numeracy and other targeted learning activities.
• Work with pupils who have additional learning needs or SEND.
• Help pupils develop independence, organisation and study habits.
• Encourage positive behaviour and help students overcome barriers to learning.
• Build trusting, professional relationships with pupils.
• Support classroom activities and prepare learning materials.
• Encourage pupils with low confidence in their academic abilities.
• Communicate observations and pupil progress to teachers and support staff.
• Contribute to the school's inclusive and supportive environment.
