Graduate Learning Support Assistant

About the Role: Graduate Learning Support Assistant

  • Location: ‘Outstanding’ primary school in north Liverpool
  • Duration: Full-time, term-time role for the rest of the academic year
  • Pay: Up to £490 per week
  • Hours: Monday to Friday, during school hours
  • Ideal for: Graduates with a 2:1 or higher in Psychology, Education, or a core subject
  • Perfect for: Aspiring teachers, SEN specialists, or educational psychologists

In this role, you’ll support children who need extra help, whether in 1-to-1 sessions or small groups. You’ll have the chance to work closely with teachers and other professionals, playing an integral part in the school’s mission to provide a nurturing environment for all students.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Support students with additional needs, offering tailored 1-to-1 and small group assistance
  • Collaborate with teachers and other learning support assistants to deliver engaging lessons that align with the national curriculum
  • Encourage students’ social and emotional development
  • Use interactive tools and activities, both inside and outside the classroom, to create engaging learning experiences
  • Help to organise school events, such as sports days and outings
  • Monitor and report on students' progress, keeping teachers informed about any changes in behaviour or development
  • Build strong relationships with students, staff, and external professionals like educational psychologists

  • A graduate with a 2:1 degree or higher in Psychology, Education, or a core subject
  • Passion for working with children and supporting their development
