Job summary

INDEDU in Liverpool is seeking a Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils aged 4–11 with diverse needs. You will provide dedicated 1:1 support and assist with small-group interventions, working closely with teachers to ensure accessible learning resources.

Qualifications

  • 2:1 degree or above in Psychology, Education or a relevant core subject.

  • Previous experience working with children or young people, including SEN, tutoring, mentoring or youth work, is desirable but not essential.
  • Right to work in the UK – visa sponsorship is not available.

Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant

An inclusive and progressive SEN primary school in Liverpool is looking for a Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant to join their dedicated team. This is a long-term opportunity starting in September 2026, with the role initially running throughout the full academic year.

Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant
  • Full-time, long-term Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant position (Monday–Friday)
  • Earn up to £540 per week
  • Gain valuable experience within a supportive Liverpool SEN primary school

Ideal Candidate – Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant:

The Role – Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant:

As a Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play an important role in supporting pupils aged 4–11 across the school. You will work with children with a variety of additional needs, including autism, ADHD, learning difficulties and social and emotional needs.

Your responsibilities will include providing dedicated 1:1 support, assisting with small-group interventions, and working closely with teachers and wider support staff to ensure lessons and learning resources are accessible to every pupil.

You will gain an insight into the day-to-day life of an SEN school while developing practical skills in behaviour support, communication, inclusion and pupil development.
