We're looking for a Graduate Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join a welcoming and inclusive secondary school in Birmingham. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on classroom experience, develop your understanding of SEN and play an important role in helping students reach their potential.

What will you be doing?

As an LSA, you'll work alongside teachers and the SENCO to provide tailored support to students with a range of additional needs, including autism, ADHD and dyslexia.

You'll help students access the curriculum, build confidence and develop the skills they need to succeed both academically and socially.

Key responsibilities

As a Graduate Learning Support Assistant, you will:

  • Provide 1:1 and small-group supportfor students with SEN
  • Assist teachers with planning and delivering differentiated learning activities
  • Encourage students to remain engaged, focused and motivated during lessons
  • Help students develop their social, emotional and communication skills
  • Work closely with teachers and other members of the support team
  • Monitor and communicate information about student progress and wellbeing
