Job summary

KPI EDUCATION in Birmingham is recruiting a Psychology Graduate to join as Learning Support Assistant from September 2026. The role focuses on supporting pupils with additional learning needs and providing 1:1 and small-group assistance.

You will work closely with teachers to promote wellbeing, confidence and inclusive education, with opportunities to develop skills in SEND support and educational psychology pathways.

Qualifications

  • Recent psychology graduate with 1st or 2:1 preferred.
  • A-Levels and GCSEs matched to role requirements.
  • Patient, empathetic, and resilient with excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Support pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups.
  • Assist students with SEND, SEMH, autism, ADHD or other needs.
  • Help create a positive, safe and engaging learning environment.
  • Work with teachers and pastoral staff to support pupil progress and wellbeing.

The role would particularly suit someone considering a future career in Educational Psychology, Teaching, SEN support, or Speech and Language Therapy.

What’s the role?
  • Support pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
  • Assist students with SEND, SEMH, autism, ADHD, or additional learning needs

  • Work closely with teachers and pastoral staff to support pupil progress and wellbeing

What are we looking for?
  • Recent Psychology graduate with a strong academic background- 1st or 2.1 degrees required
  • Matching A Level and GCSEs
  • Patient, empathetic, and resilient with excellent communication skills.
  • Some experience in a school, tutoring, or care setting (preferred but not essential).
