Job summary

Enterprise Recruitment Ltd recruits for highly technical manufacturing roles in the UK. This position offers a Graduate or Junior Physicist the chance to develop skills in a state-of-the-art laser micromachining environment.

You will join the Contract Micromachining Laboratory, working with UV to IR laser systems and nanosecond to femtosecond pulses, developing new processes, performing production tasks and supporting customer projects.

Qualifications

• Degree or MSc in Lasers/Physics/Optical Engineering or related discipline.
• Practical experience with lasers, optics, materials science, microscopy, metrology or programming is advantageous.
• Hands-on mindset, curiosity, and ability to work independently or in a team.

Responsibilities

• Develop laser processes for micromachining applications.
• Carry out production work and support customer projects.
• Assist in process development and optimization of laser systems.
• Contribute to experiments across UV to IR wavelengths and ns to fs pulses.
