Job summary

Arvato is launching an IT Graduate Programme at its Birmingham hub (Hams Hall) with travel to other UK sites. The 18‑month, full‑time programme offers hands‑on IT experience supporting regional operations and digital transformation projects.

Successful applicants will gain mentoring, structured training, and exposure to SAP, Windows, 365, networking, and warehousing systems as part of a growing global logistics partner.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or higher in Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities are essential.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills are required.
  • Proactive attitude and willingness to learn new technologies.
  • Ability to work independently and with teams in a collaborative setting.
  • Knowledge of Windows, Microsoft 365 and networking basics is expected.
  • Interest in SAP, databases, cloud tech or WMS is advantageous.

Responsibilities

  • Provide first and second-line IT support across the business.
  • Support warehouse systems, SAP and business-critical apps.
  • Assist with infrastructure, networking and hardware deployments.
  • Work on IT and digital transformation projects.
  • Support system upgrades, testing, and implementations.
  • Troubleshoot issues and identify root causes.
  • Collaborate with operations to understand requirements and design solutions.
  • Assist with reporting, system documentation and process improvements.
  • Learn from experienced IT professionals through mentoring and on-the-job training.

Location & Salary

Location: Hams Hall, Birmingham (with travel to other Arvato UK sites as required)
Salary: £30,000p.a
Contract: 18-month Graduate Programme
Hours: Full-time 40 hours, Monday to Friday

What You’ll Be Doing


  • Providing first and second-line IT support to colleagues across the business.

  • Troubleshooting technical issues and identifying root causes.

  • Learning from experienced IT professionals through structured mentoring and on-the-job training.



There will be travel involved in this role for training and development purposes. This could be up to a month at a time.



About You

We’re looking for someone who is passionate about technology and eager to learn.




  • A degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.

  • A proactive attitude with a willingness to learn new technologies.

  • The ability to work both independently and collaboratively.

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Microsoft 365, and networking fundamentals.

  • An interest in databases, cloud technologies, SAP, or warehouse management systems would be advantageous.



Previous work experience isn’t essential—we’re looking for potential, enthusiasm, and a genuine interest in developing a career in IT.
