Job summary

Stantec is looking for a Graduate Hydrogeologist to join the Reading Water Environment team. You will contribute to groundwater modelling, data analysis and environmental assessments across varied projects in the water sector.

The role focuses on developing technical understanding of hydrogeology, GIS and groundwater modelling through hands-on work and structured training, with a commitment to progression toward professional accreditation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Geology, Geography, Environmental Science or a related discipline.
• Proficiency with GIS software, Python, and groundwater modelling like MODFLOW is advantageous.
• Strong analytical and numerical modelling skills are beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Undertake groundwater modelling and hydrogeological assessments to support projects.
• Collect, process and analyse groundwater and hydrometric data.
• Interpret environmental data using GIS and other tools.
• Support Water Framework Directive and environmental assessments.
• Prepare technical reports in collaboration with senior specialists.
