Job summary

Stantec’s Glasgow graduate Hydrogeologist role sits within the Water Environment discipline, delivering groundwater modeling, environmental assessment, and groundwater data work for clients across the water sector.

You will join a team of around 15 in Glasgow/Edinburgh, with colleagues across the UK network, and receive hands-on project experience plus training toward professional qualifications with the Geological Society of London or CIWEM.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Geology, Geography, Environmental Science, Civil Engineering or a relevant discipline.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with GIS, Python, groundwater modelling and analytical/numerical modelling would be beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Undertake groundwater modelling and hydrogeological assessments to support water and environmental projects.
• Collect, process and analyse groundwater and hydrometric field data.
• Process and interpret environmental data using GIS and other analytical tools.
• Contribute to water quality, environmental impact and Water Framework Directive assessments.
• Prepare technical reports and support project delivery with senior specialists and multidisciplinary teams.
• Develop technical understanding through hands-on project work and structured training.
