Job summary

Stantec is offering a 2027 Graduate Programme as a Graduate Hydrogeologist in Birmingham, joining our Water Environment discipline to deliver hydrogeology, groundwater and environmental assessments for clients across the water sector and beyond.

You will develop skills in groundwater modelling, GIS and data analysis, supported by structured training and progression toward chartered status with ICE/ CIWEM.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in geology, geography, environmental science, civil engineering or a relevant discipline.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; GIS, Python, and groundwater modelling experience beneficial.
• Willingness to train toward chartered status with ICE and CIWEM.
• Strong collaboration and adaptability in a multi-disciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Undertake groundwater modelling and hydrogeological assessments to support water and environmental projects.
• Collect, process and analyse groundwater and hydrometric field data.
• Process and interpret environmental data using GIS and other analytical tools.
• Contribute to water quality, environmental impact and Water Framework Directive assessments.
• Prepare technical reports and support project delivery with senior specialists.
