Job summary

Mott MacDonald is seeking a proactive Graduate Hydraulic Engineer to join our UK-wide modelling team. You will help build and calibrate 1D/2D hydraulic models, assess flood risks, and support resilience planning across water networks for the UK and beyond.

You will work with senior engineers, use GIS and modelling tools, and gain exposure to reporting and client presentations. A three-year development programme supports your technical and professional growth.

Qualifications

• Recent master's degree in listed disciplines or equivalent; eligible for graduate opportunity.
• Demonstrated interest in water or wastewater infrastructure and environmental protection.
• Strong analytical and communication abilities with a collaborative mindset.

Responsibilities

• Support development and delivery of water, wastewater, and drainage projects to improve network performance and resilience.
• Analyze data to identify challenges, evaluate solutions and inform decisions.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on design and improvements.
• Contribute to flooding, environmental protection and sustainable water management projects.
• Develop technical knowledge using industry tools and report findings to clients.
