Job summary

Arup is seeking a Graduate Hydraulic Engineer/Modeller for its Water Utilities team in Birmingham. The role focuses on hydraulic modelling, catchment analysis and data-driven decision making, with opportunities to contribute ideas and progress toward professional membership.

You will work within an integrated team of engineers, scientists and modellers to deliver resilient water infrastructure projects across the UK. Early careers support includes bespoke training and mentoring.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil, environmental or related field.
• Experience with GIS/spatial data is required; Python, FME and hydraulic modelling skills are advantageous.
• UK working rights required; graduate with ≤12 months in a similar role preferred.

Responsibilities

• Analyse and solve problems using large datasets and survey information.
• Develop hydraulic models of urban drainage, rivers and coasts.
• Collaborate across multidisciplinary teams and present findings.
