Job summary

Viridien is seeking a highly motivated graduate to join our UK Data Centre team, focusing on development, implementation and support of HPC hardware and infrastructure. The role emphasizes hands-on work with Linux systems, compute, storage and data centre technologies.

You will contribute to automation and documentation while working onsite at our UK HPC Hub. The successful candidate will bring a degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering, a proactive mindset, strong communication skills

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related computing subjects.
• Foundational knowledge of Linux administration.
• Interest in HPC, compute, storage and data centre technologies.
• Willingness to learn and develop through hands-on experience.

Responsibilities

• Support the installation, maintenance and decommissioning of HPC hardware.
• Assist with CPU and GPU systems, oil-immersion and air-cooled servers, and storage.
• Help maintain infrastructure services and data centre equipment.
• Follow rack cabling standards and support IT workshop activities.
• Assist with spare-parts control, audits and lease-management.
