Job summary

Viridien is seeking a highly motivated graduate to join the UK Data Centre team, focusing on development, implementation and support of HPC infrastructure. The role emphasizes Linux, hardware, and automation, with opportunities to work on cloud services and scalable data centre solutions.

The successful candidate will join an On-site UK HPC Hub, contributing to projects, documentation and continuous improvement, while building hands-on expertise in HPC hardware and software.

Qualifications

Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related.
Equivalent technical qualifications may be considered.

Responsibilities

Support installation, maintenance and decommissioning of HPC hardware.
Assist with CPU/GPU systems, oil-immersion and air-cooled servers, storage.
Maintain infrastructure services and data centre equipment.
Follow rack cabling standards and IT workshop activities.
Assist with spare-parts control and lease-management.
Identify and automate repetitive hardware/operational processes.
Develop, test and document simple scripts or automation tools.
