Job summary
Viridien is seeking a Network Engineer to support the operation, reliability, and continuous improvement of its global enterprise and data centre network infrastructure. Based in the UK HPC Hub, you'll work within the Network Operations team to maintain WAN/LAN, datacentre, cloud-connected and security environments.
You will deploy and monitor routing, switching, firewall and security platforms, investigate incidents, and contribute to projects and lifecycle activities while improving
Qualifications
- Approximately 3–5 years of enterprise network experience.
- Hands-on config, support and troubleshooting of production networks.
- Strong knowledge of routing, switching, WAN, firewall basics.
Responsibilities
- Support, maintain and troubleshoot enterprise network infrastructure across WAN, LAN, data centre, wireless and security environments.
- Deploy, configure and monitor routing, switching, firewall and network security platforms.
- Investigate network incidents and perform root-cause analysis.
- Monitor availability, performance, health and capacity of critical services.
- Participate in infrastructure projects and hardware refreshes.
- Collaborate with vendors and internal stakeholders on requirements.
- Contribute to documentation and on-call rotation.
