Job summary

Join Tetra Tech as a Graduate Ground Investigation Engineer in Cardiff. You’ll supervise geotechnical and geo-environmental investigations across South Wales, with opportunities to work across the UK.

You will develop practical and technical skills through site-based work, mentoring, and tailored development support, progressing toward Chartered status with training and guidance from experienced colleagues.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2:1 degree in geology, engineering geology, environmental science or a related subject.
• Enthusiasm and determination to develop within the ground investigation and geo-environmental sector are essential.
• Strong analytical and communication skills; driving licence and ability to obtain security clearance are desirable.

Responsibilities

• Support ground investigations, mainly across South Wales with opportunities UK-wide.
• Assist with planning, procuring, supervising and managing investigations.
• Develop practical and technical capability through site-based work and mentoring.
• Progress toward professional qualification (e.g., Chartered Geologist or Chartered Scientist) with tailored training.
