Job summary

Spectrum Geosurvey, based in Lymington, seeks a Graduate Geophysicist to collect geophysical data in the field and assist in data processing and interpretation. You will gain exposure to a range of projects in the offshore renewables sector while developing essential industry skills.

Successful candidates will have a geology/geophysics background and familiarity with marine surveying. GIS experience and scripting knowledge are beneficial in supporting data handling and project delivery.

Qualifications

• Degree in Geology, Geophysics or related marine science.
• Good written and oral communication skills; able to convey complex information.
• Understanding of data management and coordination for large data volumes.

Responsibilities

• Undertake fieldwork onshore/offshore for extended periods.
• Assist with processing geophysical datasets (side-scan, magnetometer, SBO).
• Assist with data archive, storage and repository management.
