Penguin Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Graduate Engineering Geologist to join the Sheffield team of a leading environmental and engineering consultancy. This entry-level position is ideal for recent graduates or those with up to one year of experience, offering a clear path toward Chartered status.

The role covers ground investigations, contaminated land, environmental monitoring and reporting, with extensive training and mentoring and potential UK-wide travel.

Qualifications

• Degree in Geology, Geo-Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, Earth Sciences or related subject.
• Ground investigation or contaminated land experience is beneficial.
• Willingness to work outdoors and travel across Sheffield and the UK.
• Strong communication and report writing skills.
• Full UK driving licence or working towards one.

Responsibilities

• Assist with ground investigations across Sheffield and the UK.
• Soil and rock logging.
• Groundwater and ground gas monitoring.
• Support Phase I and Phase II assessments.
• Environmental and geotechnical sampling.
• Assist with contaminated land and remediation projects.
• Prepare technical reports.
• Maintain project records and documentation.
• Support data interpretation and client liaison.

About the Role

A leading environmental and engineering consultancy is seeking a Graduate Engineering Geologist to join their Sheffield team. This is a great opportunity for a graduate or candidate with up to one year's experience to develop their career within a supportive and expanding consultancy.

The Graduate Engineering Geologist will work across ground investigation, contaminated land, environmental monitoring and technical reporting projects throughout Sheffield and the UK.
