Kent in London is seeking a Graduate Fluid Mechanics Engineer to join the CFD team, developing advanced modelling for clients across oil & gas, offshore wind and infrastructure.
You will benefit from a hybrid working pattern with three days in the office, mentorship from senior engineers, and the Kent graduate development programme to build your career. This role provides exposure to dispersion, fire and explosion assessments and other fluid flow challenges.
Kent is looking for a Graduate Fluid Mechanics Engineer to be based in London. Joining our team, you would develop your knowledge and experience by carrying out advanced Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) modelling for a broad spectrum of clients and industries, including oil & gas, offshore wind, and infrastructure. You would have the opportunity to work with and learn from technical experts to provide consequence modelling and risk assessments, such as dispersion, fire and explosion modelling, among a range of other services. The Kent Fluid Mechanics team provides technical engineering consultancy to the energy industry for problems related to fluid flow and heat transfer. This includes projects in conventional oil and gas, as well as the energy transition (for example LNG, hydrogen and offshore wind). Typical projects include safety assessments (gas dispersion, fire modelling, explosion analysis, gas detection) as well as hydrodynamic assessments, heat transfer and flow assurance. We also support a range of other sectors including power and the built environment.
Our people are our power. At Kent, diverse perspectives and talents are the backbone of our strength. We’re building an environment where everyone, from engineers to scientists, from all walks of life, can thrive and reach their full potential. Our global graduate program offers hands-on experience, mentorship from industry leaders, and the opportunity to grow as part of a diverse and driven team. We’re building the next generation of leaders in engineering, science, and technology, and we want you to be a part of it.
Please note that candidates must have the right to work in the UK to be considered for this opportunity.
We follow a hybrid working model that combines office and remote work, with a requirement to be in the offices three days a week. This approach supports the development of a strong and effective team dynamic.
