Metis invites graduates in Civil, Environmental and Water Engineering to join our London or Manchester offices as Graduate Flood Risk Management Consultants. You will work on local projects that improve communities through water resource management, with mentoring and a path to chartership.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Environmental Sciences or equivalent.
• Final or expected grade of 2:1 (or equivalent); Masters considered.
• Willingness to work in London or Manchester offices.

Responsibilities

• Support LLFA clients under the Flood and Water Management Act 2010.
• Develop and implement local flood risk management action plans.
• Assess surface water drainage and flood risk proposals in the planning process.
• Investigate flooding incidents and contribute to reports and recommendations.
• Prepare and deliver strategic flood risk management plans and policies.
• Identify and appraise flood mitigation and SuDS measures.
• Assist with funding applications and stakeholder engagement for flood risk schemes.
• Collaborate with water management specialists on modelling, drainage design and urban drainage projects.
