Job summary

Tetra Tech's Graduate Consultant program in Manchester offers hands-on experience on flood risk projects, with a structured learning pathway and exposure to real assignments from day one.

You will develop technical and professional skills through regular training, mentorship from experienced colleagues and involvement in projects ranging from drainage design to climate resilience across public and private sectors.

Qualifications

• Degree level or equivalent in Civil Engineering, Environmental Science or Geography - BSc, BEng, MSc or MEng, with first or upper second class honours.
• You should be eligible for CEng MICE or chartered with CIWEM.
• You'll be enthusiastic, career-focused and interested in flood risk management, hydraulic modelling, catchment hydrology, natural flood risk management and environmental enhancement.
• Strong interpersonal skills, teamwork, flexibility and a full UK driving licence are desirable.
• Suitability for Security Clearance to minimum SC level is essential.

Responsibilities

• Support flood risk and drainage design and hydraulic modelling across varied development and infrastructure projects.
• Assist with project delivery from inception to close out, under senior supervision.
• Collaborate with clients and stakeholders to develop robust technical solutions.
• Work on projects with budgets from £1m to £100m across sectors.
• Maintain good health and safety practices and deliver work on time.
