Job Opportunity: Graduate/Fire Engineer

A top ten Fire Engineering firm is seeking a Graduate/Fire Engineer to join a team of highly skilled and talented engineers. You will work on exciting projects across various sectors, contributing throughout the entire project lifecycle, and providing strategic fire safety advice across the UK for the construction industry. The role follows a clearly defined career path.

Responsibilities (supported by a senior Fire Engineer):

1. Attend design team meetings internally and externally
2. Conduct site visits at RIBA stages 4 and 5
3. Review and annotate design proposals
4. Liaise with design team members, including architects and clients
5. Apply critical thinking to support the design team in overcoming fire safety challenges
6. Produce technical reports to support design approval processes
7. Perform detailed fire engineering analyses using computer modelling tools such as CFD, evacuation, and structural analysis models
8. Engage in meetings and discussions with approving authorities

Qualifications and Expectations:

• Degree in Fire Engineering or a related subject
• Student member of the Institute of Fire Engineers (advantageous)
