Job summary

Stantec is recruiting graduates for its 2027 Graduate Programme as a Graduate-Environmental Planning & Advisory in our Brighton office, joining an ambitious Environmental Services team. You will help develop sustainable, compliant environmental plans for high-profile projects.

You will work toward professional chartership with bodies such as CIWEM, IEMA or RTPI, and will join a structured progression plan. The role requires four days per week in the office and eligibility to work in the UK.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Management, Environmental Impact Assessment, Environmental Science or Environmental Planning (accredited by CIWEM, IEMA or RTPI).
• Unconditional right to live and work in the UK for an indefinite period.
• Willing to work in Brighton office four days per week and be based in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Conduct environmental impact assessments (EIAs) and contribute to EIA screening, scoping and environmental statements.
• Carry out environmental management studies, compliance audits and sustainability reviews across project lifecycles.
• Prepare environmental planning reports, statements and appraisals to support regulatory approvals.
• Assist in managing environmental constraints, sustainability risks and mitigation across diverse projects.
• Collaborate with senior team members, external clients and statutory bodies in water and energy sectors.
• Integrate environmental considerations with engineering, planning and design teams to deliver net-zero solutions.
