Job summary

Arup is seeking a Graduate Engineer for Strategic Water Services in the UK. You will join a growing team, driving innovation and delivering client-focused solutions across policy, strategy and asset management for water sector projects.

You will work with experts across Arup’s global network and gain exposure to regulation, resilience, investment planning and technology-enabled decision making. Collaborative, diverse teams await.

Qualifications

• 2:1 Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Water, Process, Civil or Environmental Engineering or related field.
• ICE/CIWEM accreditation or equivalent.
• Interest in water sector regulation, business planning, price reviews, performance frameworks and long-term investment decisions.
• Motivation to address climate resilience, environmental improvement, water security and sustainability.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with data interpretation.
• Ability to balance technical, environmental, social, economic and regulatory factors.
• Excellent communication and client-facing potential.
• Curiosity, initiative and an organized approach to delivering high-quality work.

Responsibilities

• Generates policy, regulatory and asset management advice for city and infrastructure clients.
• Collaborates with Arup’s global network on projects and thought leadership.
• Works across strategy, regulation, resilience, investment planning and asset management.
• Supports development through professional qualification, formal training and client engagement.
