Job summary

Arup is seeking graduates for the Water Structures and Dams team in the UK. You will be involved from concept through to detailed design, construction and asset management for public and private clients.

Starting 1 September 2027, you will develop through a structured Early Careers programme, collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams to deliver sustainable infrastructure and low-carbon solutions in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Environmental Engineering required.
• Looking to develop toward Professional Accreditation.
• Full working rights in the country of application and no more than 12 months of comparable work experience.
• Recent graduate or on track to graduate before employment starts.

Responsibilities

• Conduct site visits including dam and water infrastructure inspections and condition assessments.
• Perform assessments, options appraisal, analysis, design, and prepare sketches, drawings, calculations, specifications and reports.
• Complete structural and hydraulic calculations using modelling and design software (GSA/Robot/Adsec/Grasshopper/Rhino/AutoCAD/Civil 3D/Bentley MicroStation).
• Collaborate with Arup colleagues across disciplines and meet with clients, contractors, authorities and stakeholders.
