Job summary
Careys is seeking a Graduate Engineer to assist on-site delivery of high-quality civil engineering works while building technical expertise. You will gain hands-on experience with setting out, surveying instruments, and interpreting drawings, plus exposure to commercial processes, quality assurance, health & safety, and environmental standards.
You will be working toward a Civil/Construction/Structural Eng qualification (HNC or above), with experience in setting out on concrete frame projects
Qualifications
- Qualification in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or Structural Engineering to HNC level or above.
- Experience in setting out and engineering processes on concrete frame projects.
- Ability to use CAD software for data transfer.
- Competent in surveying and setting out techniques.
Responsibilities
- Setting out works and interpreting technical drawings.
- Supporting quality control, inspection, testing, and record-keeping.
- Assisting with procurement, logistics, and temporary works management.
- Applying health, safety, environmental and sustainability standards on site.
- Engaging with project team and client representatives to ensure successful delivery.
- Developing technical knowledge and CAD skills.
