Job summary

Careys is recruiting a Graduate Engineer to deliver high-quality engineering on site in Fife. You will gain hands-on experience with setting out, surveying instruments, and interpreting drawings while learning commercial processes, QA, health & safety, and environmental standards.

You will develop CAD skills and understanding of construction methodologies, engage with the project team and client representatives, and progress your technical knowledge on a live project.

Qualifications

• Must have or be working towards an HNC in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or Structural Engineering.
• Experience delivering setting out and engineering processes on concrete frame projects.
• Ability to use CAD for data transfer to/from single-person working kit EDM preferable.
• Competent in surveying and setting out techniques.

Responsibilities

• Set out works on site and use surveying instruments to interpret technical drawings.
• Support quality control, inspection and testing, and maintain records.
• Assist with procurement, logistics, and temporary works management.
• Apply health, safety, environmental, and sustainability standards on site.
• Engage with project team and client representatives to ensure delivery.

As a Graduate Engineer at Careys, you'll play a key role in delivering high-quality engineering on site while developing your technical expertise. • Engaging with the project team and client representatives to ensure successful delivery.
• Continuously developing your technical knowledge, CAD skills, and understanding of construction methodologies.

What you will bring:

• You will possess or be working towards a qualification in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or Structural Engineering to HNC level or above
