To grow our Civil/Structural team, we are looking for a Graduate Engineer to join us. Working on infrastructure projects, you’ll co-create on some of the most prestigious programmes in the UK. You'll also be supported by our engineers on your ongoing professional development (Chartership) with a tailored plan to achieve your career aspirations.
Your key responsibilities will be:

  • Producing engineering designs, assessments, and evaluations in accordance with project requirements
  • Checking design calculations and drawings done by other engineers
  • Performing a wide variety of engineering activities including collating and understanding data, running analysis, developing calculation methods, and working with colleagues to deliver high-quality project work
  • Contributing to the dissemination of engineering good practice and implementation of our in-house tools such as the carbon calculation tool
  • With the support of your project manager, planning and prioritising your workload, reporting on progress against a project budget and schedule
  • Delivering your work to a high technical standard, ensuring accuracy through diligent self-checking, and attending site visits or client meetings

The first step to success in this role is eagerness to collaborate with colleagues, partners, or clients. Developing relationships through respect and reliability is key. You should also be open to exploring new insights and ways to improve.
Additionally, you will have:
  • Currently studying for a bachelor's or master's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (BEng, BSc, Meng, MSc) with aspirations to become a Chartered Engineer
  • Some experience in an engineering environment (such as a year in industry or summer placements) is preferred
  • A deep understanding and passion for engineering, with a commitment to technical excellence
  • Ability and desire to work in a diverse, multidisciplinary team
  • Good communication skills and teamwork
