RSSB develops railway standards on behalf of the railway industry in Great Britain. Standards are an agreed way of doing something, ensuring interoperability, managing risks, reducing costs, and opening markets.
Over 36 months, you will work across RSSB and the wider industry to gain insights into how we work and the challenges faced in providing a safe, efficient, and sustainable rail system.
You will be based within RSSB’s Standards Infrastructure Team, managing and drafting Infrastructure Standards for Great Britain and international railway systems, and providing technical leadership on various infrastructure issues.
You will have opportunities to collaborate with other teams within RSSB and undertake external placements with industry members, building relationships and contributing to a safer, more efficient, and sustainable rail system.
By the end of the program, you will have built a professional network to support your career within RSSB and beyond, and with our support, you will be on your way to achieving Chartered Engineer status (CEng).
Please note: The scheme may involve visiting RSSB member companies and rotations, requiring travel flexibility.
