Job summary

Balmoral Comtec Limited in Aberdeen, On-Site, is seeking a Graduate Engineer to join our engineering team. You will design and develop products from concept through to production, while producing precise manufacturing information and supporting software tool development.

Join a team that values continuous improvement and professional growth, with exposure to CAD, FEA and validation activities. This role offers hands-on engineering experience in a global offshore energy context.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• Knowledge of CAD software, preferably Autodesk Inventor (Desirable OrcaFlex & Mathcad).
• Knowledge of FEA software such as ANSYS.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop products from concept through to production.
• Produce accurate engineering documentation and manufacturing information.
• Support the development and enhancement of engineering software tools.
• Develop test procedures and support product validation activities.
• Contribute to cost-reduction and continuous-improvement initiatives.
• Manage engineering information using engineering data management systems.
• Support the development of departmental standards and future product innovations.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related discipline (desirable to hold membership of a professional engineering institution or interest in pursuing Chartered status).
• Knowledge of Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software, preferably Autodesk Inventor. (Desirable experience with OrcaFlex and Mathcad).
• Knowledge of Finite Element Analysis (FEA) software such as ANSYS.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to work accurately and effectively under pressure.
• Motivation to learn and develop within a professional engineering environment.
