Tilbury Douglas is recruiting a Graduate MEICA Engineer (Electrical) to join our Infrastructure team in the Southwest region on a site-based programme. You’ll gain hands-on experience across MEICA design, installation, testing and handover, working with experienced engineers and project teams to deliver essential water infrastructure.

Qualificações

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or closely related field (2:2 or above).
• Full UK driving licence or working towards by Feb 2027.
• Genuine interest in electrical engineering and MEICA.
• Strong problem-solving with a practical, logical approach.
• Good written and verbal communication across diverse audiences.
• Collaborative mindset and willingness to learn.
• Placement or site experience desirable but not essential.

Responsabilidades

• Support the design, coordination and delivery of MEICA engineering solutions across water and wastewater projects.
• Develop understanding of electrical power, distribution, control and protection systems used within water infrastructure.
• Assist with the review of electrical designs, drawings, specifications, calculations and technical information.
• Gain exposure to electrical equipment including switchgear, MCCs, motors, VSDs and associated systems.
• Develop understanding of instrumentation, control and automation systems and how they monitor and control processes.
• Build knowledge of mechanical plant and equipment and how electrical and mechanical systems integrate.
• Work with design, projects, civil, design and construction teams to develop coordinated solutions.
• Support design reviews and help identify opportunities to improve safety, buildability, efficiency and whole-life performance.
• Coordinate specialist suppliers, subcontractors and equipment manufacturers.
• Support inspections, testing and commissioning activities.
• Identify, record and resolve technical issues during installation and commissioning.
• Assist with engineering documentation, technical records and handover information.
• Develop understanding of electrical safety, safe systems of work, and relevant standards and regulations.
• Gain experience in digital engineering, sustainability and emerging tech in water sector.
• Build strong working relationships with project teams, clients and suppliers.
