Job summary

Mott MacDonald in Edinburgh is seeking a Graduate Electrical Engineer to join our Water Utility Division. You’ll develop your technical and project management skills while contributing to clean water, wastewater treatment, flood protection and environmental resilience.

You’ll gain hands-on design experience, mentoring, training, and participate in our Accelerating your Future early careers program, with a structured path to grow within a global, employee-owned consultancy.

Qualifications

• Less than 12 months of relevant experience (excluding placements).
• Bachelor's degree obtained no earlier than 2025 or expected.
• Masters degree may be essential for some opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review electrical and ICA (EICA) designs for water and wastewater infrastructure.
• Develop drawings and documentation: plant layouts, single-line diagrams, P&IDs, control architecture.
• Collaborate with clients, contractors and internal teams to deliver integrated solutions.
• Apply digital tools and data-driven approaches to improve design quality.
• Mentor and train through our Early Careers network.
