Tilbury Douglas is offering a graduate Electrical Engineer position based in Birmingham, designed to launch your career with real project exposure from day one.

You'll join a structured two-year Graduate Development Programme, gain hands-on experience across electrical design and delivery, and work with senior engineers to progress toward IET or CIBSE accreditation, building a strong foundation for a Chartered Engineer career.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or closely related discipline (2:2 or above).
• Full UK driving licence or progressing toward by Feb 2027.
• Genuine interest in electrical engineering, design and project delivery.
• Strong organisation and problem-solving skills with a proactive approach.

Responsibilities

• Support development and coordination of electrical engineering solutions across projects.
• Review and develop electrical designs, drawings, specifications and technical information.
• Develop understanding of electrical systems and how they integrate with other disciplines.
• Undertake engineering calculations with support from experienced engineers.
• Collaborate with civil, structural, mechanical and other disciplines to develop coordinated solutions.
• Support design reviews and identify opportunities to improve buildability, efficiency, safety and outcomes.
• Translate design into delivery with project and construction teams.
• Resolve technical queries throughout the project lifecycle.
