Job summary

Hoare Lea in Cambridge invites applications for a 2027 Graduate Electrical Engineer. You will be immersed from day one in live projects across healthcare, hotels, retail and residential sectors, supported by a mentor and a structured career-path framework that guides you toward Chartered status.

Qualifications

• 2.1 or higher in an IET or CIBSE accredited Electrical Engineering degree or equivalent
• Excellent communication, analytical and organisational skills
• Ability to work in a team environment and independently
• Friendly, ambitious and confident with a flexible and resilient approach
• Masters or other relevant postgraduate qualification is advantageous
• Understanding of CAD or similar modelling software is desirable

Responsibilities

• Working on live projects from day one in a multidisciplinary team
• Sectors include healthcare, hotels, retail and residential
• Producing detailed electrical designs and drawings (circuits, wiring, lighting)
• Using Revit, Dialux, Relux and Electrical OM for modelling
• Undertaking site surveys and researching new technologies
• Continuing CPD and professional development and regular meetings with project teams
