Job summary

Arup is seeking a Graduate Electrical Engineer to join the Building Services team in Belfast. You will contribute to the design of power distribution, lighting and protection systems while developing professional skills through the IET-accredited training scheme.

You will work with multidisciplinary teams across healthcare, science and industry projects, gaining hands-on experience in 3D design, reporting and calculations, and advancing toward professional status.

Qualifications

Undergraduate/Bachelor's level in Electrical/Architectural Engineering or related field.
Proficiency in Excel and Word; basic knowledge of building services.
Eligibility to work in the UK; no more than 12 months of relevant full-time experience.

Responsibilities

Design power distribution, lighting, fire detection, earthing and lightning protection systems for buildings.
Conduct short circuit, overcurrent coordination and maximum demand studies.
Perform lighting photometric modelling.
Prepare technical reports and calculations.
Work in 3D using Revit MEP.
Collaborate with Architects, Fire Engineers and other disciplines to develop designs.
