Job summary

Arup is seeking a Graduate Electrical Engineer to join the Building Services team in Belfast. You will contribute to the design of power distribution, lighting and protection systems while developing professional skills through the IET-accredited training scheme.

You will work with multidisciplinary teams across healthcare, science and industry projects, gaining hands-on experience in 3D design, reporting and calculations, and advancing toward professional status.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate/Bachelor's level in Electrical/Architectural Engineering or related field.
• Proficiency in Excel and Word; basic knowledge of building services.
• Eligibility to work in the UK; no more than 12 months of relevant full-time experience.

Responsibilities

• Design power distribution, lighting, fire detection, earthing and lightning protection systems for buildings.
• Conduct short circuit, overcurrent coordination and maximum demand studies.
• Perform lighting photometric modelling.
• Prepare technical reports and calculations.
• Work in 3D using Revit MEP.
• Collaborate with Architects, Fire Engineers and other disciplines to develop designs.

We are currently recruiting Graduate Electrical Engineers to join our multi-disciplinary design teams across the UK. As well as an IET accredited training scheme to support you towards obtaining professional status,we offer excellent training and development opportunities to ourcolleagues. Responsibilities of this role will include, but are not limited to:

For this opportunity, we are seeking the following qualifications, skills and attributes:

An Undergraduate / Bachelor's level (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics / Robotics Engineering with proficiency in excel, word and basic knowledge of building services

• Full working rights in the country of application
• No more than 12 months of full-time experience in a comparable role
• Recently graduated, or on track to graduate, from your most recent degree, related to your role of choice, before employment starts.
