Job summary

Arup is seeking Electrical Building Services Engineers at intermediate to principal levels to join our UK teams across Rail, Data Centres, Education, Commercial and Healthcare projects. You will lead multi-disciplinary design of HV/LV, lighting, fire alarm, security, and renewable energy systems, mentored by senior engineers, with emphasis on sustainability, resilience and client interface.

You will be involved in feasibility, detailed design, and execution, applying BIM in Revit,

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or Building Services Engineering.
• Chartered, working towards, or commitment to chartership.
• Experience in electrical building services design across HV/LV, lighting, and controls.
• Proficiency with BIM environments (Revit) and design software (SKM/ETAP/Amtech).
• Demonstrated leadership to lead multidisciplinary projects and client engagement.
• Commercial awareness and ability to manage resources to meet targets.

Responsibilities

• Lead design of electrical building services for diverse projects.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure sustainability and performance.
• Design HV/LV systems, lighting, fire alarm, security, and renewables.
• Provide technical oversight, QA, and strategic direction.
• Support business development and client engagement.
