Job summary
Galliford Try Group invites applications for its Graduate Design Engineer programme. You will work with a Principal Design Engineer across pre-construction and construction stages to deliver Temporary Works solutions, engaging with consultants, subcontractors and suppliers.
The two-year development tracks include hands-on experience, professional qualifications sponsorship, and mentorship, with an initial starting salary and opportunities for travel and site exposure across UK projects.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil/Structural Engineering to be achieved by September 2027.
Responsibilities
- Attend meetings and site visits with Design Engineer to discuss Temporary Works for tenders and projects.
- Assist in producing Temporary Works design briefs.
- Prepare design calculations for above and below ground Temporary Works schemes.
- Check design calculations by others or external design organisations.
- Assist with drawings, schedules and design checks.
- Support governance processes to meet timelines and fee estimates.
- Contribute to compliance with safety, quality and environmental standards.
