Job summary

Office Angels are recruiting a Graduate Design Engineer to join their Aberdeen design team. This entry-level role offers a structured development programme, mentoring, and hands-on experience across the full engineering design lifecycle, with ongoing training to progress into a Design Engineer position.

You will support the delivery of design projects, interpret technical specifications, and gain exposure to CAD drawings using AutoCAD in a busy technical environment in Aberdeen City Centre.

Qualifications

• A Degree or Level 3+ qualification in Engineering, Building Services, Physics, or a related discipline.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent organisational and time management abilities.
• A proactive and positive approach to learning.
• The ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
• The ability to commute to the Aberdeen office.

Responsibilities

• Interpreting technical specifications and project requirements.
• Preparing and maintaining technical design documentation.
• Producing and updating CAD drawings using AutoCAD.
• Supporting design calculations and technical assessments under guidance.
• Working collaboratively with engineers, designers, and project teams.
• Attending design reviews, project meetings, and handovers.
• Assisting with project close-out documentation and handover packs.
• Developing understanding of engineering design processes and industry standards.
