Job summary

Office Angels are recruiting a Graduate Design Engineer to join their Aberdeen design team. This entry-level role offers a structured development programme, mentoring, and hands-on experience across the full engineering design lifecycle, with ongoing training to progress into a Design Engineer position.

You will support the delivery of design projects, interpret technical specifications, and gain exposure to CAD drawings using AutoCAD in a busy technical environment in Aberdeen City Centre.

Qualifications

• A Degree or Level 3+ qualification in Engineering, Building Services, Physics, or a related discipline.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent organisational and time management abilities.
• A proactive and positive approach to learning.
• The ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
• The ability to commute to the Aberdeen office.

Responsibilities

The role - Graduate Design Engineer

Location - Aberdeen City Centre

Hours - Full-time - 8.30-17.00 (Monday to Friday)

Office Angels are delighted to be recruiting on behalf of our client for a Graduate Design Engineer to join their growing design team in Aberdeen.

This is an exciting opportunity for a graduate or early-career professional to join a structured development programme designed to provide hands-on experience across the full engineering design lifecycle. Working alongside experienced engineers and designers, you'll receive ongoing training, mentoring, and support whilst developing the technical skills needed to progress into a Design Engineer position.

The Role

• An understanding of fire safety, smoke control, or alarm systems
• Exposure to HVAC or electrical building services environments
• Experience using AutoCAD or similar 2D CAD software
