Job summary

Somerset Council invites applications for a two-year graduate data analyst role within the Flood Resilience Programme. You will analyse and interpret data to support planning and programme delivery across Somerset, producing insights and reports to inform decisions and improve services.

You will carry out research, maintain records and coordinate activities to support project delivery. The role requires strong analytical and IT skills, effective communication and collaboration with stakeholders.

Qualifications

• A relevant degree (2:2 or higher) obtained within the last 3 years.
• Strong analytical, technical and IT skills with confidence using data and digital tools.
• Experience gathering, researching and analysing information to support decision-making.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Analyse and interpret data to support flood resilience planning and programme delivery.
• Produce data insights, reports and information to inform decision-making and improve services.
• Assist with project delivery by researching, maintaining records and coordinating activities.
• Support improvements to systems, processes and ways of working to enhance programme effectiveness.
• Collaborate with colleagues, partners and stakeholders to share information and support joint working.
