Job summary

Somerset Council's Flood Resilience Programme Team invites applications for a Project Management Graduate. You will support delivery of a major two-year programme with a wide range of partners, using analytical thinking to identify needs and priorities while helping plan, coordinate and deliver projects that reduce flood risk.

Qualifications

• Degree with 2:2 or better, obtained within the last 3 years.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and information.
• Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the confidence to work with a range of stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Support the planning, coordination and delivery of projects across the Flood Resilience Programme.
• Analyse and interpret GIS mapping, environmental records and other data sources to inform decision-making.
• Work with colleagues, communities and partner organisations to gather information and support programme activity.
• Assist with monitoring project performance, milestones, risks and outcomes.
• Produce reports, presentations and project documentation to support stakeholders and programme governance.
• Help identify opportunities that strengthen Somerset's approach to flood and coastal resilience.
