Job summary

Carrington West in Manchester is seeking a Graduate Construction Manager to join the project management team. You will gain hands-on experience in planning, coordination and delivery of earthworks and civil engineering activities under the guidance of experienced managers.

You will develop technical and management knowledge in a practical environment, learning how construction activities are safely planned, coordinated, monitored and delivered, with a clear path to progression.

Qualifications

• Degree in Construction Project Management or related discipline.
• Good communication, organisation and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Support project planning and day-to-day administration.
• Learn how programmes, budgets and resources are managed during construction.
• Assist with monitoring progress, quality and health & safety requirements.
• Work alongside construction managers, engineers, quantity surveyors and site teams.
• Help coordinate subcontractors, suppliers and stakeholders.
• Review project information and assist with reporting and documentation.
• Develop practical knowledge of earthworks and civil engineering operations.
• Spend time on site to understand delivery of planned works.
