Construction Delivery Graduate Programme Location: London, City Centre Salary: £31,500.00 + bonus Duration: 2-years, starting date September 2027 Build Homes That Matter Want to help tackle the UK housing crisis while building a career in construction? Latimer, the development arm of Clarion Housing Group, is looking for ambitious graduates to join our Construction Delivery Graduate Programme in London.
We look after Latimer and Clarion’s interests on every scheme, whether we’re the client, a joint venture partner or buying the affordable homes on a Section 106 scheme. We’re the eyes and ears on site, owning each scheme from pre-construction to the end of the defects period and beyond. We work closely with contractors, Employer’s Agents, consultants, and partners, and hold them to account on safety, quality, customer outcomes, cost and programme. Every home we deliver should be one we’d be proud to live in.
As a Construction Delivery Graduate you will be part of that from day one. This is not an admin role. You will be on live sites across the region, from high-rise and higher-risk buildings to large regeneration and joint venture schemes, working alongside experienced Construction Delivery Managers, many of them chartered. No two days are the same. Construction Delivery sits at the centre of every scheme, where safety, quality, cost, programme and the customer all come together, and we are relied on to make the decisions that keep it on track. One day you could be on site inspecting work with our Clerks of Works, the next reviewing a contractor’s valuation, working through a contractual claim or getting a building ready for its first residents. You will need to think on your feet, and you will build client-side project, commercial and construction management skills that few graduate roles offer this early.
In your first year, you'll develop a strong understanding of construction delivery and how residential developments are brought to life. Be an integral part of a Construction Delivery team and help it hit its targets on safety, quality, cost, programme and customer experience. Carry out regular site inspections with our Clerks of Works and Quality Inspectors, tracking quality issues through to close-out. Monitor contractor progress against programme and the building contract, working with Employer’s Agents on valuations, variations and contract administration. Keep cost, programme and key dates up to date in Pamwin, our commercial appraisal software, and track each project against its scheme approval. Work across Development, the wider Commercial Company and the Housing Association, keeping customers at the heart of everything as we build on our 5-star builder rating.
Build relationships with Local Authorities, developer and delivery partners and housing colleagues, and represent Latimer at meetings and networking events. Take on project management duties, managing budgets and programmes to deliver on time, cost and quality. Take the baton from our Land and Project and Development Management colleagues before start on site, and carry it through to practical completion, handover to our Housing and Customer teams, and the end of the defects period and beyond. Construction Delivery often holds the longest relationships on a scheme, so you’ll make sure the right information, warranties and handover documents are in place at every stage. Support our Building Safety Act duties on higher-risk buildings, including Gateway 2 and Gateway 3 submissions and maintaining the golden thread of information. Understand and support our duties as client under the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015. Help manage defects through the defects period, working with contractors and our customer teams to resolve issues promptly. Check build quality meets our requirements as client, in line with our contracts. By the end of the programme, you will have developed the technical, commercial and project management skills required for a long-term career in Construction Delivery.
Full RICS professional qualification support. Regular development sessions with fellow graduates. Mentoring from experienced professionals and former graduates. Exposure to major residential developments. A clear pathway into a permanent Construction Delivery role.
