Job summary

Regional Recruitment are recruiting a Graduate/Project Civil Engineer to join an established and growing consultancy with offices near Enderby, Leicester and Pitsford, Northampton.

This role offers the chance to work on diverse civil and structural schemes across commercial, residential, industrial, healthcare and education sectors, with projects valued up to £40 million, developing skills in drainage, highways and SuDS using AutoCAD.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• 2–3 years' post-graduate experience preferred, but candidates with no post-graduate experience will be considered.
• Experience in the design of below-ground foul and surface water drainage systems.
• Competent in producing drawings using AutoCAD.
• Knowledge of SuDS (Sustainable Drainage Systems).
• Familiarity with MicroDrainage and/or InfoDrainage software.
• Familiarity with highways design and its interaction with drainage design.
• Ability to liaise with local authority planning departments and Lead Local Flood Authorities.
• Full UK driving licence and own transport.

Responsibilities

• Undertake civil design across a wide variety of civil and structural engineering projects.
• Work across commercial, residential, industrial, healthcare and education sectors.
• Work on projects valued up to £40 million.
• Design below-ground foul and surface water drainage systems.
• Produce accurate engineering drawings using AutoCAD.
• Apply knowledge of SuDS within civil design.
• Use MicroDrainage and/or InfoDrainage software.
• Consider the relationship between highways and drainage design.
• Liaise with local authority planning departments and Lead Local Flood Authorities.
• Manage deadlines and organise your own workload.
• Work collaboratively as part of a wider engineering team.
