Job summary

Impression in Pontefract is seeking a Graduate Civil/Structural Engineer to join a well established Yorkshire engineering consultancy. You will work with experienced engineers on varied residential, commercial, civil and industrial projects, gaining hands-on experience and increasing responsibility as you develop.

Hybrid working is available after probation. Salary advertised is £28,000 - £35,000 per annum with opportunities for training and professional development.

Qualifications

• Solid understanding of structural engineering principles.
• Knowledge of UK design codes and industry standards.
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
• Good attention to detail and a desire to produce high quality work.
• A positive, proactive attitude and genuine ambition to develop.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Get hands on with structural analysis, design and engineering calculations across steel, concrete, timber and masonry.
• Produce calculations, drawings, specifications and technical reports.
• Gain valuable site experience through inspections, surveys and structural assessments.
• Work closely with experienced engineers and technicians, learning from their expertise.
• Contribute to projects from initial design through to completion.
• Develop practical and efficient engineering solutions.
• Build your confidence working with clients, contractors and other project stakeholders.
