Job summary

Kier Group is offering a Graduate Civil Engineer Scheme in the UK. The role supports our Infrastructure teams across multiple Northern locations, including Manchester. Starting salary is £31,000 with a £4,750 car allowance where eligible, on a permanent 2-year programme that leads to an assistant level role with salary potential around £38k.

Qualifications

Degree (or working towards) ICE-accredited in Civil Engineering or closely related discipline.
Graduating in 2027 or within the past three years.
Demonstrates genuine interest in civil engineering and construction.
Strong analytical and problem-solving ability; attention to detail.
Team player with collaborative mindset; willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

Assist in preparing and managing project designs, plans, and specifications.
Support development and monitoring of project schedules and budgets.
Conduct site visits to ensure compliance with design specifications, safety standards, and quality requirements.
Collaborate with project managers and engineers to resolve technical issues.
Prepare technical reports and project updates.
